In support of Nurse Stafford, Winthrop School, Ipswich, MA

The rally cry for the firing of Jon Stafford is nonsense -- please be calm and do the right thing by allowing our citizens the right to free speech.

This is a result of poor leadership. Brian Blake needs to go. He acted unilaterally and kowtowd to a divisive troll that is promoting a public smear campaign to fire a well-respected employee. The Ipswich school committee meeting is Thursday, Sept 18th, let's make our voices heard and force the school committee to make a comment.

Let us preserve our Constitutional right to Freedom of Speech.

My granddaughter is a student at Winthrop school and is very upset that nurse Stafford has been removed. Please reconsider this decision. Also, read quotes from Kirk over the years. Not good for our country’s youth.

I am not a school parent, but as a citizen of Ipswich I feel obliged to say that this man's statement did not rise to the level that would warrant the loss of his place in the school

I support freedom of speech. He could have chosen his words more carefully but speech is still speech.

Do not stifle free speech

Charlie Kirk's assassination was a complicated, emotionally charged event. His words have hurt countless people and fostered a culture of hatred and discrimination among his followers. Nurse Stafford's public condemnation of Kirk was just that - emotionally charged - and therefore was delivered harshly. However, his job should not be put in jeopardy for exercising his First Amendment right in a factually accurate, non-violent manner. Don't permit this great loss to our community over the momentary lapse in judgement of someone fiercely committed to inclusion for all!

We are all entitled to our first amendment rights. Stop this ludicrous iinvestigation.

I support Jon Stafford

Support free speech, especially when not encouraging violence. Winthrop was fortunate to have Nurse Stafford who cared for our kids with kindness.

He was well within his first amendments rights.

I have personally watched Jon work with the children at Winthrop. He is a loving and devoted member of the community— a true representative of the nurturing environment they strive to create there. His firing would be a huge loss for everyone!

I wholeheartedly agree with this petition. Additionally, I would argue that Nurse Stafford was not violating the standards mentioned in Dr. Blake’s email regarding inclusion but that Nurse Stafford was actually speaking out against anybody who threatens inclusivity, equal treatment for all, and empathy. That is exactly who I want caring for our children.

Freedom of speech is a constitutional right. This country is behaving like Germany in 1933. Scary.

Reinstate Nurse Stafford for the well-being of our kids and community.
