very unfair decision! Every nominee has the right to promote their work, and being "more connected" than others doesn't change that right.

What the Academy has done is disgusting to me and yet not particularly surprising. Many film makers in this town have long turned their backs on music of content, and the have accepted a principle that says commercial success and popularity equals artistic merit. We MUST push back. I stand behind Bruce and Dennis.

As a music educator I share the values and philosophy of Bruce Broughton. Are you going to investigate the practices of some of the big film companies? i suspect that if you do you will need to rescind quite a few more nominations. Have you the courage to do that?

I've heard from musician friends of mine in Los Angeles that a lot of people email their friends and associates during nomination time. It appears this one song was singled out, why?

The Bruce Broughton Travesty is another Duck Dynasty Scandal in the making. I hope Bruce sues the Academy. I'll help fund the suit. Remember The Hurt Locker

This whole thing seems really weird from I read in the papers. Tme to re-examine. It is OK to spend a jillion dollars on fancy parties and invitations but not ok to simply email people you know and ask them to listen to a song your wrote? Like I said - really weird.
