Anyone with any experience working with Bruce Broughton over the years knows what an amazing talent he is. I pray that the Academy will recognize their grievous error and rectify the situation immediately. This action was shameful.

Rescinding this nomination is an inextricable soil and stain on the academy's already sullied reputation.

I would definitely state that the nominee's revokation are should be wiped because it is hard to accept the fact as the proper reason for revokation. Compared with the opportunity, I would think how valuable it is that we should be able to watch and see the resolution on the same stage as well as other songs nominated. The sudden notification were just left people's disgusting feelings, it is not valuable influence, or almost I cannot stop to doubt the Academy's the first decision without warnings. Hope to notice the main purpose of the Oscar and hope the blessed on these people's actions.

Agree with my peers. Any individual or company who has placed a 'for your consideration' ad or sent out free DVD's, or hosted free 'screening' should also be immediately disqualified on this basis. Hang in there Bruce my friend!

Bruce Broughton is an outstanding individual who has always displayed the utmost professionalism in all his film music endeavors. His contributions to the movie music idiom are nothing short of legendary and will stand the test of time. With this petition, we are politely asking the Academy to reconsider its decision and allow the song "Alone Yet Not Alone" to be part of the Oscars 2014 Competition in the "Best Song" category.

Just adding my vioce to the many who believe that Bruce Broughton was delt an unfair judgement and was treated with complete bias because of his good standing in both the music and film communities. It is sad that the Academy has decided to continue down the path of praise those who can only back or campaign for their craft by throwing big money at it, rather than support someone true artistic merits.
