Please reconsider - this seems very unjust.

The system is corrupt and this decision was surely influenced by a personal vendetta on the inside. Pity it found traction with the small minds that supported the politics of the moment.

this smells like the worst kind of political infighting, and should not be condoned.

Please reconsider. The awards are an effort to recognize the talents and contribution of Academy members. "Alone Yet Not Alone" is certainly deserving of a nomination.

This movie is very well-made and inspiring, historical and the song is sooo moving and beautiful. It is ridiculous that this nomination was withdrawn for the reasons it was. It is ashame!!!

I suggest the calling of an immediate emergency meeting of the AMPAS Board, after which the following resolutions should be announced: 1. the reinstatement of the nomination with an apology to Messrs. Broughton and Spiegel and a statement stating that, upon further consideration, the Board realizes that the fault, if any, lies within the Board and its apparent failure to have yet issued sufficiently comprehensible and updated guidelines that can fairly serve all candidates for nomination, whether large or small, and 2. establishing a committee to review and recommend a comprehensive and updated set of guidelines that will more fairly serve, and more clearly guide, the entire film community.

Mr.Broughton is a Film Music Legend..Academy did a wrong move to withdraw the 2014 Original Song nomination for “Alone Yet Not Alone,” written by Bruce Broughton and Dennis Spiegel.

As a Beverly Hills-based clinical psychologist, I deal daily with vagaries of life in the "industry." But the withdrawl of Bruce Broughton and Dennis Spiegel's nominated song from Oscar contention is the worst example of hypocritical Hollywood-narcissism and blatant jealousy/rivalry I have witnessed yet.

By your decision to withdraw Bruce Broughton and Dennis Spiegel"s "Alone Yet Not Alone", you have drawn more attention to it. Out of your campaign to "not include", you "have included".

And if the nomination is indeed withdrawn, the space should remain vacant to dissuade others to pursue campaigns out of jealousy for just missing a nomination slot.

Totally unfair and publicly vengeful towards an amazing composer and musician!

The "appearance" is of faith-bias.

Beautiful song, and should not be rescinded.
