Eradicate a bone-headed decision and reinstate the nomination to Mr. Broughton. His e-mails are nothing compared to the thousands of dollars spent on promoting other films in various categories.

The academy says it takes anything that brings the oscars into disripute very seriously. They obviously don't as this action is downright mean unfair hypocritical and stupid

The beauty in Broughton's scores for Homeward Bound and Baby's Day Out wrings my emotions and brings tears to ones eyes. His Tombstone and many other scores for TV and movies like The Blue and The Gray are sheer magnifico. And “Alone Yet Not Alone" is the latest addition. Reinstate I say!!

So ashamed of the academy! Total prejudice against this haunting song only because it represents a Christian based film. I will no longer watch the Oscars.

Political correctness and the war on Christianity on full display. If the decision to disqualify "Alone" stands the Academy is relegating itself to irrelevance.

First - I've been an atheist since I was 12. However, I respect the rights of any individual or group to express their own beliefs as long as they don't impinge on the freedom of others.
