This is a Beautiful Song!!!!! Amazing: just think what Joni could do if not for her disability: I cant even imagine. This lady is truly an Angel. This is a Song everyone needs to hear. Joni is such an inspiration.

This a beautiful song that is uplifting and should easily win over all songs. It shows the faith of all people and should be reinstated. This is what America wants to hear.

This is a time for Hollywood to acknowledge a huge and tragic mistake. This is not about liberal or conservative or religious or anti-religious subjects at bottom. It is a moment that should not be seized on by any partisans or ideologues. It is a moment about humanity. It is a moment for AMPAS to be told not only that the abusive emotional damage done to Bruce is unacceptable and must be repaired, but that a huge mistake, one that Hollywood is prone to making at various levels of intensity, has to be rectified. It is a mistake of mandarins attacking art and craft when we need art the most. It is a mistake of mandarins attacking the very substance they ultimately depend on. By attacking Bruce for actions which have no comparison to the monied, relentless, destructive influence-currying campaigns of PR carried on here, often in the service of the superficial, they are attacking themselves and the deepest foundation of art in movies, under the noise and tumult of sensation and a strange attempt to to avoid impropriety when large hypocrisies go unpunished. Art is one of the the basic and deeper impulses of our better natures. Without it, Hollywood couldn't exist. Because the tinsel and glitter of the mighty facades in this town, and media, while imposing and entertaining, eventually become obsolete in the face of the next wave of tinsel and glitter. But the the impulse of art does not fold. It is the impulse of art which propels Martin Scorsese, Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett, George Clooney, Natalie Portman, and many others all the way to a young unknown student on fire with a different way to tell a story after reading the Iliad, and it also propels Bruce Broughton. He is one of the greatest artists we have here, with a vast knowledge and appreciation of the past richness of movies, and his own music is a part of that important history, in the myriad ways it has enriched so many films. Anyone who has heard the emotional, orchestrational, and dramatic depth of his

Anyone who knows Bruce Broughton personally, as I do and have for a number of years, knows that he's certainly NOT the kind of man that would seek preferential treatment in a situation like this. In other words, he's a man of high morals.

I finally listened to this beautiful song it made me think of both my parents who passed away from cancer in 2010. The song is different to everyone but for me it reminds me that I am never alone. How many songs move you in ways you never know. I saw it on You Tube & now I will download it on iTunes. Bruce Broughton is a talented musician. If it is a political choice it was wrong on all levels. I beg the Academy to bring back this beautiful song that truly needs our support & nomination that should go on the merits. The song earns a right to be amoung the others who have been nominated.
