A farce considering the huge promotion campaign waged by the big studios for their films!

When I heard the song was nominated, I assumed the Academy would do everythign in its power to make sure it wasn't performed at the ceremony. Instead they deviously revoked it's nomination. Not surprised as they continuously work to strip Christ from the fabric of America.

If you want to slap him on the wrist for campaigning, do so, but to withdraw the nomination is draconian and an insult to a hard working, selfless, pillar professional in the

This is unfair. Considering the nomination was already announced, shouldn't the problem have been addressed during the selection process? In that case, I find it highly unfair that a nomination be removed this late into awards season, faith-based or not. It's just not right.

From what I have heard, all Bruce and Dennis did was send an email asking some Academy Music members (I wasn’t one of them, btw) to take a listen to the song. So what?? Studios and stars, including other Music members with nominate-able songs, wined and dined the Music members in various much less subtle and more “gifting” ways during this past nominating season - calls, lunches and dinners, “meet and greets”, special screenings, etc. And I assume that members of all Academy branches ask one another to check out their work, particularly where, as in this case, it may have been in a film that was not well known or much seen. To draw the line with Bruce and Dennis’s email and negatetheir nomination is absurd to me and a punishment considerably out of line with any imagined transgression on their part. I love the Academy and am very proud to be a member. But I am not proud of how this situation has been handled and again, unless something more has happened here that I don't know about, I feel strongly that Bruce and Dennis's nomination should be reinstated.

The AMPAS board of governors decision to rescind the nomination of "Alone Yet Not Alone" needs to be re--thought, and hopefully reversed.

I believe this song was unjustly disqualified from Oscar consideration. Please reconsider this decision - it is a very important song. Its message will resonate in the hearts of any who have struggled with life's stark realities and yet have found the amazing grace of hope and divine presence.

All of the nominations are promoted agressively, but you single out this one song because of 70 emails? The old Holyweird double standard as usual! I hope NOBODY watches your stupid pep rally this year!!!

A beautiful song by a very talented Composer that should be considered equally.

Low blow Academy. Low blow indeed. Re-instate the nomination and let the chips fall to the voters. You show religious bigotry with your actions and it is shameful.
