In Support of Adam Stern, Music Director and Conductor

I fully support Adam Stern as Conductor and Musical Director of the Sammamish Symphony Orchestra. We are fortunate to have him.

I support Adam Stern.

Adam has brought an amazing depth of knowledge to the podium and he is committed to using his experience in service of the music. I appreciate that he has high standards and expectations but is able to temper those to the abilities of the group. It has been very rewarding to play under his guidance.

This group is so lucky to have Adam Stern as conductor. As someone who has played under almost every pro and amateur conductor in the area for many years, I can tell you that you have a treasure in skill/knowledge and compassion/personality. It is high time to move on and embrace the fantastic possibilities Adam brings to this group.

And, what a lighthearted and amusing touch he brings to rehearsals. The time flies right by with his whimsical stories. Love em

It is an honor and privilege to play for esteemed conductor Adam Stern. The Sammamish Symphony is extremely fortunate to have secured Adam's services as our conductor and music director. He is a consummate musician who is head and shoulders above the several other very good conductors who have conducted the SSO in the last several years. I appreciate his high musical standards, his positive energy, and his great sense of humor. He teaches us so much at every rehearsal, believes in us, and helps and inspires us to play at our highest possible level. I am so grateful that he is our conductor at SSO. Playing under his baton is pure joy! He is truly the best thing to ever happen to this orchestra!

Adam Stern brings both inspiration and precision to the podium.

We are so fortunate to have Adam Stern as our music director. His musical abilities as a conductor, combined with his expertise in working with all levels of musicians, are truly a perfect fit for Sammamish Symphony. The inspiration that he has brought to my musical world brings me in front of my music stand with new found enthusiasm and a determination to contribute all I have to making our Symphony the very best that it can be!

Adam has brought a fantastic level of expertise and motivation to the SSO. I learn something at every rehearsal. He is highly thought of in the community. In the November 27th issue of the Issaquah Press I publically voiced my support in an interview written by reporter Megan Campbell. As the Concertmaster of the SSO since 2005, board member since 2004, Sammamish resident since 1991, and Sammamish Music Store owner and instructor I urge all to make sure Mr. Stern remains the Conductor and Music Director of the Sammamish Symphony Orchestra.

It is a privilege to be able to play in the Sammamish Symphony Orchestra under Adam Stern's direction and conducting. I fully support him.

Maestro Stern is an absolute gift to this ensemble. The breadth of his musical knowledge and experience is evident in everything he does with the orchestra. This includes, the clarity of his conducting technique, his persistence in striving to achieve unity in the ensemble's interpretation of what he is doing and what we are all trying achieve, and his amazing patience with all of us when maybe we did not have the time to work on a couple things we (including me) had hoped to work on that week. He has clearly worked out how to inform, educate, and inspire all musicians to perform beyond what we are really capable of. All this in a person who is humble, emotionally stable, very hard working, and a gifted teacher/mentor. Add to this Adam's ability to immediately connect with audiences and let them in on the fun of how wonderful it is to be able to play a musical instrument in an ensemble like this. Then the cherry on top is his terrific Robin Williams like sense of humor about all things musical. I would play for any ensemble he conducted even if it meant travelling hours to get there. There isn't a musician I know that isn't envious of the SSO for having Adam as conductor and recognizes that he makes the SSO a major player in the Northwest music scene.

Sammamish Symphony is privileged to retain a renowned conductor such as Adam. I am proud to work with him in any ensemble and fully support his direction and leadership.

I fully support Adam Stern and the direction he is taking with the orchestra. I have heard very positive feedback from our audience, especially regarding his comments and musical illustrations during the concerts. I find myself really hearing and feeling the interplay among different sections of the orchestra as he focuses on small, but very important details during rehearsal. This not only increases my enjoyment in playing the works, but helps me to be a better player. I feel Adam has been and will continue to be a huge benefit to the Symphony as we continue our journey with him.

I have benefited so much in my playing since Adam took over. He brings a wealth of inspiration and knowledge of the repertoire. His attention to details I just glossed over before really adds to the understanding of the music. I look forward to the coming years with the symphony under his direction.
