I support free speech. I have nothing but love for transgender people, but they have no power over the words that I speak. For most people, sex is real. Perhaps some few don't experience it the way I do but I refuse to be invalidated.

I went to look at reviews of Robert Galbraith's new book on Goodreads, and was appalled at the abusive comments about J K Rowling from people who had never read the book, never intended to, and I assume were hoping to bring down sales by giving it the lowest possible rating. It hardly engenders respect towards those who disagree with her.

The abuse directed at women who hold the "wrong" views is unacceptable and must stop.

Dear Ms Rowling, please do not let others intimidate you. On the basis of the commencement speech you gave a few years ago, I think you have a good heart, carry on! All the best, Frank

Rational reasonable debate must never be shut down by threat of violence or threat to livelihood. Trans rights are indeed human rights, but they do not supercede the rights of all other humans. I stand with J K Rowling.

Cancel Culture is illiberal hypocrisy acting to curtail free speech. A bit like many right-wing “social”policies. The mix of normality and exoticism should be more harmonious.

You cannot change your bilogical sex you can only imitate the other. But please be free to live love and dress as you please

Standing up for women and girls is not transphobic. Trans activism is misogynistic and based on zero material evidence. It is based on men’s feelings. Women’s rights, however, are not about men’s feelings. Hope they can live with that, and don’t care if they can’t. Women have actual problems that men cannot simply opt-into.
