It is totally unacceptable regarding the amount of vitriol, misogyny, vile sexual assault threats directed at JKR. She is a national and international treasure. Period. And, an exemplary philanthropist for a wide range of causes. Value her and be proud of her. Thank you JKR.

Everyone has a right to their opinion. It does not cancel another's.

JK Rowling hasn't said anything that is offensive, hateful or isn't true, she has only tried to support women's rights. I am shocked by the level of hatred and abuse she has received.

Biological sex is fact. Women worldwide are raped, forced into child marriage and forced to endure female genital mutilation, not because of how they identify but because they are female.

People going against JK Rowling, in my opinion, either haven’t read, or understood her views.

God bless JK Rowling. Those malicious attacks on her obviously won't gain transfolks any sympathy. They might not even be intended to do so. They're just aimed at silencing women. Thank you so much Joanne for not backing down! You are a role model and an inspiration!

The way JKR has been treated by trans allies has been disgusting.

Respect women’s rights and honesty. Political correctness does not create truth. Respect the human rights of all.

Why wouldn't you support JK Rowling? I suppose if you hadn't actually read what she wrote...

Thank goodness for JK Rowling. This brave woman deserves the world's support for simply saying what is true: men aren't women. How could such a simple, basic human truth become controversial? When did people with an anomalous condition acquire the power to rewrite reality in their own image? JK Rowling speaks for me. She speaks for MILLIONS OF PEOPLE who are not ready to roll over and agree that 2+2=5.

I’m with JKR that trans people’s rights should be respected but it cannot be denied that women’s physical bodies mean they face specific issues and difficulties from men and trans women - it’s crazy that JKR is faced with abuse and death threats for pointing that out.
