Do not bend and knee to online "fashions" so you can avoid not looking like most others around you. Fashions are what they are - they come and go

On every level I will proudly back JK Rowling, for the creativity that's brought pleasure to millions, for the guts to raise her head above the parapet, and as a target for genuine hatred and aggression that no individual should experirnce for speaking from a place of reason and conscience. I hope we learn

People are free to disagree with what she said, that is their right. However that right does not pardon people to send threats of death and rape. Yes, debates can get heated and emotional, but again there is no justification to send the threats that JK Rowling received.
That is simply not how a civilised society operates.

Trans rights are human rights, but they should not trump women's rights. Especially in sport and for women only spaces.

The wrong is in the glorification. Whether others can exist or not is not what we frown upon, but what stands as absolutely abhorish is the nuance of having to be a bigot, having to March in their parade and exhibit it. The protest against free speech by itself is protest against their own cause. Suppression will only beget aversion and not otherwise.

Free speech is essential in a democracy. Disagreement shouldn't be couched in terms that threaten, bully or silence others.

After the controversy about Ms. Rowling's remarks, a man in Vancouver, where I live, paid to have "I love JK Rowling" put up on a billboard. Within less than twenty-four hours the billboard company removed it because a local city councillor complained that the billboard's message as "hateful." That kind of threat to free expression is the reason I'm signing this petition.

Transwomen have had the benefit of growing up with natural testosterone. This makes them on average physically larger and stronger than natal women. It is unfair for them to compete in women's sports in which physical strength matters.

Everything JK said was sensible and compassionate. The attacks on her are a self-righteous disgrace.

I support JK Rowling, she has never said anything against the transgender community and does not deserve the vitriolic words and threats against her for standing up for women
