Even if I disagreed with her, I would still sign this and defend J.K. Rowling against all this misogyny.

She’s doing the right thing in a world that hates women for speaking up. I’m so proud of her.

The misogyny against JKR by the media is disgusting. Shame.

Women are a distinct political and social class of people that cannot be re-defined or erased in a system of patriarchy.

JK Rowling is a great woman and I am glad she is not backing down to threats and intimidation. I am proud and glad to support her in anyway I can.

I cannot *believe* the nastiness of some people who demand tolerance towards themselves but are incapable of demonstrating it.

What JK Rowling said was reasonable if misinterpreted. She has since explained even more, in a post on her website that was not transphobic in the least. And the way to answer an argument is to debate the points of it, not denigrate the person. The treatment of JK Rowling is abhorrent!

Working with some of the most vulnerable women in society, I have seen the scarring effects of violence towards women. Jo's words spoke when no-one else would defend these same vulnerable women. Also, no matter what someone's view they never deserve threats of violence, particularly sexual violence.
