So grateful to JKR for standing up for females against misogyny. So horrified by the misogynistic abuse she has received in response. Sex is real and it matters.

I agree with the content and intent of the original letter, and I too stand in solidarity with J.K.Rowling.

Saying the truth is not hate, allowing delusional lies to pose as truths OS dangerous

Identity can never be allowed to override fact, or trample womens hard won sex based rights. Sex is real, 'identity' is made up.

We are not "cis". We are women. We will not be erased. We will not be forced to have penises in our safe spaces. Sounds rapey, doesn't it, put that way? Because it is.

I was a signatory of the original letter. Not famous, not transphobic. Just female.

So this is where we are!? !? Stating biological facts and thoughtful, kind opinions will elicit threats to your safety and life. Wake me up, someone..... this nightmare must end!

I believe everyone should be respected, and that means women who are having to fight to keep their safe and protected spaces and their name. To stand up for the rights of women and girls is not transphobic and we should not have to 'budge up' and make space for those who wish to encroach on our protected sex-based rights

She had the courage to voice a personal view - it seems that is no longer an option, a sad reflection on an intolerant society that puts itself forward as promoting tolerance.
