JK Rowling has contributed hundreds of thousands to charity causes, including LGBTQ organisations and has helped thousands of people, we should all have her back now during the deeply unfair and ludicrous attacks she's been forced to endure. We're with you all the way, Jo!

Women should be free to speak about our concerns, the issues that we worry threaten our place in society and our safety and to raise questions that require discussion - without being shouted down, misrepresented, accused of discrimination and hate crimes and having our reputations trashed.

Allowing idiots to call for her death is beyond reason. Please stop this harassing of women or people with a different opinion.

No-one in this world has the right to put something beyond discussion. The intersection of rights between women and trans persons is not something that can be put beyond debate. If we have learnt from history, we must know that everything and specifically everything that affects an entire group of people who have the right to boundaries and space can be put beyond discussion! You don't win an argument through violent censorship and misogynistic abuse. Women created these spaces as a lynchpin of their feminism. The boundaries of the body were fought for. Speak your truth but don't tell me to be silent and accept: that is male-abuse (tedious, obvious, recognisable, violent). Leave women alone, make your own space.

The right to speak freely, to agree and to disagree maturely, to learn and to develop our thinking as at the heart of democracy, of respectful inclusion and recognition of the diversity of people’s views, experiences, identities and material realities.

The hero we need.
