A woman is not a costume. A woman is an adult human female. Every person on earth was born from a woman. Our bodies are not insignificant- to womanhood, or to humanity. They never will be. Human existence depends on them. You can silence women, take our words, and hate us. But the world will go on needing us, depending on our bodies to give and sustain life, something a man can never do, no matter what he calls himself. No matter what he takes from her. Men of course know this. Misogyny cannot make women irrelevant, nothing can. The intent, instead is to convince women to believe they are irrelevant. What better example of this is their than the insistence that our bodies have no significance to what it means to be a woman. This is classic misogyny, attempting to convince us all to forget the power of women. I refuse. You should too. I stand with JK.

Free speech should never be suppressed. The young men and women actors that JK Rowling made famous are cowards for abandoning her.

This "cancel culture" of certain groups believing that every opinion that isn't 100% theirs or not understood by them (as what I believe has happened with Rowling's comments) means they themselves can turn into attackers, haters and prejudice carriers is beyond comprehension. If these groups can't see that sometimes changes in the best of intentions can cause the people with the worst to take advantage and hurt the innocent them congratulations to them for living in a world where that does happen. But don't hinder the voices or minds that can see this

From all evidence I have seen, she speaks the truth. Sick of people being cancelled due to things like this. Be who you want to be and express yourself however you choose, but being a man or woman isnt a gender role, it is their biological sex. Definition of woman=female.Definition of female = producer of Ova and barer of offspring. The dictionary literally agrees with your points. Everyone is just too unwilling to argue for fear of a reaction like Rowling has received. All the best

We don’t all have to agree to have value in society. Cancelling a woman who encouraged whole new generations of readers is not the answer.

Jk Rowling is NOT transphobic she supports trans identified people to live how they wish she supports women's sex based rights, women and girls right to safety to privacy ,and dignity.Womens rights to female only sports and not to have to refer to their (alleged ) rapist in court as a female which is a lie.

Bullies come in all shapes and sizes. Some in the shape of the wolf and some in the shape of the sheep, crying, “Wolf!”

She is a remarkable author. For me her personal views does not diminish her greatness as an author. It is very ungrateful for these characters whom she made rich because of her works to make effort to dis-associate the name of JK Rowling with "Harry Potter" For me JK Rowling is synonymous with Harry Potter, and all these actors with have a very hard time to create a name for themselves without this wonderful author who made the Harry Potter movie series in the first place.

When you take away words, you take away the ability to have a discussion. Ms. Rowling wants to have a discussion. A discussion I think needs to be had. She is brave to continue to ask that she be allowed to have that discussion.

She’s absolutely right.

The liberals that are trying to shut her down are forgetting the most liberal of all causes - free speech. In this particular case, I actually agree with her opinion. But I even support the voicing of Ann Coulter's opinions. And I agree with absolutely none of them.
