My daughter has worked very hard juggling a job, family and studying for her doctorate. The honor of walking with other Frontier students is a fitting honor for all who have achieved their goals. High schools and universities around the country are having in-person graduation ceremonies now that the CDC has removed the masking requirements for those who are vaccinated. Please reconsider giving those who want an in-person graduation the opportunity to do so.

I think that it is very disheartening that FNU 1st announced that graduation was going to be at Rupp Arena and then pulled the plug. These students have worked hard and made many sacrifices. They deserve to have the opportunity to “walk” for their graduation. Their families, who have sacrificed as well, should be able to celebrate their FNU graduate. Not offering an in-person graduation is just wrong when hundreds of other colleges and high schools are doing in-person graduations. I would hate to think that the real reason FNU isn’t having an in-person graduation is because of the laziness of the faculty not wanting to travel to KY. Please reconsider and show people that FNU really does care about its students. I hope the President’s Cabinet makes this right.

Let people have some normalcy again allow graduations. Individuals have worked so hard they should be allowed to walk and celebrate!!!

What a disgrace to deny these student who have worked so hard to get to this moment in their lives. All around the world events are starting to happen again. People are taking the necessary precautions, and the statistics are showing that things are doing okay. I think this is a team of people being lazy. What a shame, and if this event doesn't happen, I'll make sure to take note so that I never encourage a person to attend a school that is only in it for the $, the student aren't important.

The science is quite clear on the matter, those vaccinated and those masked will present virtually no risk of transmission at an outdoor in person graduation. And, by September the mask mandate will likely be lifted. There's no scientific or practical justification for going virtual. As an institution dedicated to evidence based practice in medicine, I must say I am somewhat shocked that you would make such an impactful decision on no sound evidence. I urge you to reconsider. As others have pointed out, in person schooling will begin in September across the country. How you can justify cancelling an outdoor graduation while the rest of our country's students are sitting together... Likely unmasked... In classrooms eludes me completely.

I may or may not be finished with clinicals by this year’s graduation due to administrative delays. But on the chance that I make it, I was planning to come to Kentucky for graduation. Like many of my classmates, we missed out on the connections and bonding of Clinical Bound, our clinical site visits, case days and regional conferences. FNU was my top choice school and one reason was because of the commitment to community and the connections we would make through the in person events. Covid threw a wrench in all of those plans. And we all weathered them with the grace, flexibility, and determination one would expect from Frontier students. But now, as COVID numbers are falling, restrictions are lifting, and many or most of us are already vaccinated - to have our last opportunity for in person connection with classmates and faculty taken away is crushing.
Even if only the students and faculty who want to attend are allowed to participate (and a live stream is available for family & friends) - it would mean the world to so many of us who have already had to give up so much.

There are high schools and colleges all over the country having in person graduation ceremonies and Frontier should do the same!!!! These students have worked so hard for this and should be allowed to participate if they so desire.

Each one of us have sacrificed for the honor and privilege of marching for graduation and being recognized by our family, friends and peers. This is an achievement for our families as well, because every one of them have sacrificed too. I don’t want to look back on this event that didn’t happen and have a bad taste in my mouth for the institution that denied it. Don’t rob us of the finish line.

It is disheartening to hear now that graduation will only be offered virtually. You have two years’ of graduates who have sacrificed so much and were looking so forward to this event with their families and friends. Please consider offering it as optional to those comfortable attending.

Nurses can work bedside nearly every day during the heart of the pandemic, but can’t attend a graduation ceremony they earned with hard dedication and sacrifice? Unacceptable.

I live in KY. If Bellarmine and other schools are having graduation, and Andy Beashear has lifted reatdictions, I don’t see why having an in person graduation isn’t possible, Unless it’s from the lack of effort or faculty not pulling it together. This is very doable and much deserved!

Have the graduation outdoors and you would be able to have people with less concerns.
