I believe we have already paid for this graduation ceremony through our tuition. Not all students were able to voice their opinions, so please do the RSVP to get an accurate headcount. This is unacceptable.

This really shows Frontier's lack of organization and transparency and also complete lack of respect of students' effort and sacrifice.
Honestly i'm not surprised, decision making processes and seeking student input (or not) is just a mess at Frontier. This is not the first time it happens. So disappointed in this university.

After all the sleepless nights, hard work, and loads of tuition, this is what we get? It's kind of disrespectful to these kids and these families that have worked really hard this past year.
There are so many ways to make this graduation happen in person and in a safe manner. It's upsetting that FNU administration didn't even attempt to try... They think it's okay to open back clinical bound and all in October, but decide to draw the line at commencement in September? Tell me if that makes sense.

Also was not offered an opportunity to weigh in on decision since I did not receive the survey email. I have completed my MSN (November 2019) and DNP (December 2020) with FNU.

Is the president’s cabinet so jaded and so far removed from the students experience that they think its okay to do this to the students? How unfair for the students! They paid for their degrees, they worked so hard for this.
Over 400 upset comments about FNU Administration decision on Facebook. Over 200 people signed the petition so far. Doesnt FNU see that this is what the majority of the people want? It appears that the decision to cancel is financially motivated. Graduation is a monumental achievement, NOT a boring free meeting over Zoom!!

Please reconsider. This is a country that prides itself on individual choices. If there are individuals who are not comfortable coming to in-person graduation then that should be their choice. Allow those who desire to come to graduation to do so.

Dear Dr Slager,
The students not comfortable attending should not come. That is their personal choice but the students who are fully vaccinated and who believe in the CDC recommendations should be allowed to attend.

Our family have waited patiently to see my daughter graduate. Many sacrifices have been made to assure her success. To say we are disappointed is an understatement. This walk to receive her diploma means the world to her and us. Wenhope and pray you will reconsider this decision.
