This is a silly idea. A affront to natural space, a waste of park money, and an absurd portrayal of nationalism.

Nature does not need to be replace with a horrifically ugly sculpture, a parking lot and a restaurant

The natural beauty of the place should not be ruined by this hideous thing.

This ugly monstrosity, planned through devious means should not be allowed to proceed since the public were not as yet given a chance to air their objections in a democratic form. I am decidedly against it. I have read enough comments by those who want to protect natural parklands and who are most informed of any of the articles I've read. It is an outrage to continue to plan this in a democratic country. Please do something worthwhile to really help our veterans. Joyce Jack

I don't mind the statue so much as its placement in a national park.

Do not blemish the natural beauty of Cape breton, as well as our national pride with this hideous marketing monstrosity

An absolute travesty which does not belong in a national park.
