We have memorials. We have parks. We have combinations of the two. National Parks are and always have been intended to be parks and parks alone.

this project is not appropriate within a national park. it is merely a political ego trip.

The planned Green Cove war memorial is not only breaking Canada's promise to Canadians to maintain the Park's pristine quality which has made it so famous, but it is also seeking to make financial gains on the back of our fallen soldiers. Politicians involved in this dark project and using their uncontrolled power to allow it and encourage it are treading a very objectionable path. Other memorial in the world -this includes Vimy Ridge- have been proudly maintained and celebrated by governments and citizens. They are beautifully kept, inspiring, sober though grandiose, but respectful. I have been there

I am a wife of a soldier and the 25 million can be better spent on funding for PTSD which my husband suffers from or use the money for DVA . I also disagree with spoiling the beauty of Green Cove, a place where we visit all the time and sit and reflect on life, I certainly do not want to have a monument there in my face obstructing the view.

We love, honour, and respect our veterans - every day, all the time. A monstrosity of a statue will not serve the veterans at all, but the $25 M could go a long ways toward direct help. The statue is not only garish and horrible, but it's insulting, especially in the face of the DVA closings.

This proposed monument is inappropriatelysituated in our National Park. I can't believe that the powers-that-be think they have the right to move forward on this project. It contradicts the mandate of land protected for all CanadiansCanadians.ely

Veterans lose support offices and a statue goes up to block the view of the ocean. Support the living vets if you want to honour those that died ...or is a statue just cheaper?

The purpose of out National Parks are to PRESERVE natural landscapes. Development along the pristine coastline in this beautiful location is absolutely irresponsible.

Unacceptable for our national park. Our vets are better served with putting funding back into supporting their needs.

The artwork as proposed is not well thought out from an artistic point of view. It is overblown and sentimental, not dignified. It does not belong in a public park.

Coming from a family of veterans, a fully support a memorial in their honour but a site in this national park is not the place for it. Please reconsider and ask for public consultation on a more suitable location. Thank you.

War is hell. We may honour the victims ("our" troops) but we must not forget the horror.

It is wrong to allow a private development in a national park without consulting the public.
This is one of the most asinine things I have ever heard of someone proposing in my whole life.
