It may be offensive to Protestants who feel it is "too Catholic" and contrary to the Protestant Reform Faith that many of our Veterans fought and died for.

This sculpture should not be placed to mar the natural beauty of the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Also, the sculpture does not of the same calibre as the mother on the Vimy Memorial.

I agree with the monument, but it should be placed in an area that is not protected and also a where it will be more highly visible.

Everything about this is completely wrong; Location, Appearance, Funding, Message Conveyed. Are we going to allow Corporation to erect Monuments in all National Parks?

As a practicing artist, I find this to be an abomination; an assault to both good taste and the beauty of the natural environment.

The multidimensionality of national parks is what makes them so wonderful. Please don't contrive our experience of Cape Breton to a war memorial.

An emotionally cheap, but expensive, knock-off of the Vimy Memorial. Quite insulting to the memory of Canada's veterans, really.

Why spoil a beautiful piece of nature with an ugly, overgrown garden gnome ?

This "Never Forgotten" gang has forgotten that we already have nearly 7000 dignified war memorials in Canada. This thing is not dignified, it's Disney-fied. Keep your greedy hands of our national park.

Such an ugly thing will mar the beauty of the area. Too big as well. A life sized statue would be acceptable.
