In Challenge of Audubon Water Company's Rate Increase

I object to the price increase. It is putting an undue burden on families that's already suffering from the fallout of COVID-19. My husband lost his job due to the pandemic. Our income has plummeted compared to last year. Also the water itself is not great, it's very hard on the pipes and appliances. It's unjust to be asked to pay more and more for a very mediocre product.

I object to the steep increase in rates that Audubon Water company is proposing. It is unjustified.

Already over priced. The CEO makes 300k and wants a 15 percent raise. And it’s the absolute worst water I’ve ever seen.

At a time when families are hurting financially, and cannot pay their rent, raising rates is just wrong. Then the greed and lack of compassion from this company to ask for a 43% rate hike is absurd. This company knows that the residence are forced to use them, so they feel they can do what they want, and treat their customers poorly. This should not be approved. the costs for the water is already overpriced.

I oppose this ridiculous increase and with no warrant as to what the increase would be used for.

With all that is going on in the world I think they are asking for to much, especially for the service we get.

Water pressure isn't worth $50.00

I lost my job recently ,raise is absurd plus very bad water quality .we buy drinking water since we moved here 7 years ago.

We are seniors on fixed income. Our pensions have not gone up that much to handle higher water rates and possibly higher property taxes too.

I'm a single mom of four children. The water pressure is horrible. You can't drink the water here. You call with a water problem and they don't want to come out and deal with it. I don't think we should pay an increase when they do nothing.

I’m a single mom of 2 and I’m not made out of money.

Should not raise lots of people are not working right now

This is an insanely high rate increase, especially when so many people are struggling due to covid

There is no justification for a 42% increase in our water bill. The water pressure is not good. There are constantly water leaks at least once a month. You cant even pay by credit card. They offer no help to low income families. There are no fire hydrants in the park.

I think it’s crazy to raise our water cost by almost 50%

The suggested increase is implausible, especially the proportion/ledger line for CEO/President!!! The customer service declined tremendously over the years! AWC has an agreement with a local plumber, who botched our new water lines (water line not buried deep enough & froze the first year - I was in a hotel for 2 weeks and stayed with family for the remaining 2 weeks - the plumber nor the water company took responsibility and I had an outside company bury the lines at the appropriate depth. Our entire neighborhood was affected and money wasted by RHP property! Since the upgrade to digitized meter readers, the water company has no clue if a water line is leaking or on the verge of! In mid-summer we had a water main break (later found the plumbers, who laid the original lines, did not use the correct connector and the pressure pushed it off the water source). The water company read our meter mid-leak and had no clue it was leaking until we figured it out on our own (an entire week after the meter was read)! The water leaked for 3 entire weeks, nonstop! Fresh water wasted!!!! Too many people are without water to overlook this negligence on their part! When asked what the plan was moving forward, to prevent this from happening again - or catching the leak sooner, they had no action plan! $1500 worth of water wasted! They should be fined, not given a raise!!! Any increase in service should match the rising cost of operation only - the ceo/president does not deserve a penny more/hour! They make enough money playing tag with the local plumber - it's clear as day what is going on!! Water company outsources jobs to local plumber (gets a fee from customer for reference) - plumber "fixes" the problem (charges the customer) - customer has another issue and calls the water company (charges the customer for visit) who then calls the local plumber (charges customer & sends fee to AWC for reverence) - it's a never ending cycle that was noticed and now the plumber is banned from our

Something just doesn’t seem right with an increase of this proportion!

I have been here since 1987. I am 72. A price increase of this magnitude is not in my budget on Social Security. A reasonable increase UNDER 10% would be acceptable. Prices can't keep going up when you are on a fixed income.
