Only a clean sport can attract prosperity for all involved in horse racing. Those tasked with regulating it need to step up and make sure we have a clean sport.

We need to ban all race day medication in conformity with the rest of the world. Also owners need to urge their trainers to race the horses more often instead of training them. This will increase filed size,handle and purses. Trainers need to stop worrying about their win percentage and so do owners.

I have cut my betting way down due to mistrust of this once great industry. Hopefully tighter security measures will lure me back to the game I once loved.

Make drug violation penalties much harsher. Then, people will stop breaking the rules.

There needs to be uniformity in All states as there is not enough being done outside of NY. Violaters and the barn should be penalized for greater compliance. The Jockeys, horses and fans (bettors) should demand this. Also out of training testing should be done at all the pre race training facilities!
