As a patient and as a nurse, I am continually horrified at the food options in are facilities. Please bring nutritious food to all our facilities.

I am frequently at KGH with my work and would love the option to snack on something healthy at 3am, 11am or 9pm. Great idea!

IH management decisions about good food choices are akin to witch hunting in the middle ages. They allow junk food in the hospital and keep good food vendors from being allowed to compete in the hospital.

food is a lot of things; fuel, medicine, comfort. In a high stress and emotionally charged environment it is important to have nutritional options to power those very important decisions and critical moments.

Most of the "food" given to sick and recovering people at KGH isn't worthy to even be served in a barnyard. It's foolishness. But that's what happens when fools preside over the decision making process.
This offering is a fantastic idea that will give patients and staff a real option to get what their bodies actually require.

The food offered at all the interior hospitals is appalling and has nothing to do with good health. A change really needs to be made.

Vending machine owners I have known say they have exclusive contracts in provincial buildings. This was in Prince George. You might want to check that out with machine owner.

Hi completely agree with this! I have had grandparents and a spouse in KGH and was absolutely disgusted by the food laden with gravy for almost every meal, not nutritional at all

1000% behind this. My father was in the hospital twice over the last 3 years for extended periods of time and he refused to eat the same slop he got for 3 meals a day after a couple weeks each time. We spent a lot of time bringing down food for him that he would eat. Patients - especially when recovering, need nutritious and healthy food so their bodies can heal! The garbage they are fed (and then end up not eating because it is so awful), does not help their recovery at all.

100% am on board with this! I am currently a student of Holistic Nutrition, and it is VITAL that the food we feed our most vulnerable and weak is nourishing and supportive of their health! Thank-you, Sabretooth Lifestyle!

This would be a great option!! I've had 2 surgeries over the last year at kgh and the food that is served is the worst, I had food brought in to me everyday and that crap they served me went to waste. its a bad program.

I worked in the hospital and it was a real problem to get nutritious food to patients after hours! This is a great idea! There is a real lack of options especially for those with Gluten Intolerance.

A much needed service. The food offered by the hospital, while adequate, is not always in line with everyone's nutitional requirements. Healthy eating promotes a quicker healing time and should be priority #1 in making this decision.

There are microwaves available 24/7 for patients to warm snacks in every hospital I've ever been in. And why do the other vendors 'get a chance to compete' when all they've ever offered is JUNK food??? And a nutritionist has to determine whether or not its 'okay' to offer something better quality? Typical hypocrisy.
