The Troy Bruins Hockey Boosters has had an overwhelming request to help drive the change they want to see in the Troy Bruins High School program.
- Create a competitive environment by making an A Team and a B Team/House or Travel. Hold a Try-Out for the A Team
- If the ice time is not it may need to be rented at another facility- this can be funded by the boosters or charge players
- The tryout date needs to be early April to remain competitive within the market
- Qualified Coaches – Even if we must help buy the ice time Boosters are willing to discuss helping fund this

The feedback from families continues to confirm just how much frustration exists regarding the current direction of our hockey program. I am currently working to secure a meeting with the administration to present these concerns directly. It is exhausting to keep pushing when the walls seem so thick but I am not walking away from this fight.

Seeing this level of support confirms that I am not the only one frustrated by the current state of our program. This progress is exhausting but it proves that our community is finally ready to demand the changes we need for these students.

We need to keep this program going. Without it I am not sure my high schooler would have been able to play hockey this year. I hope to watch my youngest son become a Bruins high school player just like his older brother. Having a varsity and JV team will only make things better for the Bruins program. We are proud to be a part of the Troy Bruins hockey community and support this petition.
Yes to upper and lower JV, should of been that way from the beginning, yes to earlier tryouts, the late tryout causes the program to lose out on players
Will do what we can to support the boosters to make this happen. Its important kids are playing with other kids at their level otherwise we take 4 steps back on everything they have learned up to this point.
As a member of the Troy Bruins program, I fully support this petition. I want my kids to have an opportunity to play hockey at a varsity level. Our school district does not offer this. We are proud to be a part of this program and want to continue our hockey journey as a Bruin!
We currently have 2 high school teams. Both are JV teams spilt evenly. This is not helping the players with higher level skill compete at the level they need to. It is also not helping the players that need to develop more a place to grow to. Our current set up is holding everyone back and forcing players to look for other programs rather than stay with their friends. Hockey is a growing sport and our program is growing along with it. We need a hockey home for our players and families that have the ability and desire to compete at a higher level. We need a team for our developing player to work to be a part of. Working and developing skills with no goal doesn't teach the lessons having something to reach for would.
More teams mean more chances for kids to play, more kids playing is a better world.

This team is needed so that the Troy Hockey program does not continue to lose kids to other programs once they reach high school age. There are more than enough high school players to feed both the Troy High School program and a Varsity & Junior Varsity program for the City of Troy's rec league.
We need to keep this program going. Without it I am not sure my high schooler would have been able to play hockey this year.
