Due to an unfortunate circumstance pertained to a young woman that lost her life because of negligence and unprofessional healthcare services, we as residents of Savusavu appeal for better healthcare services to be provided.
Henceforth we urge that the appropriate bodies mentioned above look into the deliverance and provision of proper healthcare resources and facilities:
- updated machines/equipments to be used during emergency
- powered generators to facilitate the equipment used (during an emergency)when there is power outage
- Senior and experienced Doctor/s to be on standby 24 hours
- General improvement to the building structure

The silence from the office of the Senior Medical Officer remains discouraging but we are not going anywhere. People keep coming forward with their own stories of neglect and these accounts confirm that our fight for better equipment and staffing is necessary for survival.

The momentum behind this push for better care shows that our community is truly exhausted by the current state of our hospital. This is a heavy road to walk but knowing you are behind these demands keeps me moving forward.

Please improve and upgrade the Savusavu Hospital facilities e.g. 150% fully operating Electricity and Water,Medical Staffs should be active and loyal in serving the public,Health Minister should stay humble and admit that it was there fault that causes the death of sister Lyn. Health Minister should make an open apology to the family and the public
The childrens ward needs a complete makeover and curtains are needed to make it look more homely and comfortable and most importantly block out the direct view of the mortuary..
Shame on the government who doesnt even have money to provide backup generators to a government hospital
Please upgrade your services . We lost a life due to the negligence of the staff and the hospital resources.
Agreed , the doctors at Savusavu hospital can be very unprofessional and keep the patients that need to be looked over waiting for hours until they just get fed up and leave .

That hospital serves the wide Cakaudrove province and need urgent attention to upgrade. We cannot afford to loose another life because of the pathetic hospital condition.
