Improve the Quality of Translation of the English OIIQ Licensing Exam

I am a nursing student as well and I wish that this issue will be raised because we are all working hard to pass the nursing licensure exam.

wrote the exam in 2005 and 2006 three times and every time had a difficult time with the wording of the exam. i failed the exam 3 times. hopefully they get their act together.

we need english nures too.

Ridiculous language laws in Qc are going to make us lose more young heath care workers...we can't afford to keep losing people

What a shameful thing to happen, with so many actual nurses relied upon to review the translation...and still English nursing students are judged on unequal ground... Perhaps, the people who took any part in the writing of the exact exam these young nurses wrote, should be made to take and pass the very same exam themselves...yet with the same consequences should they fail...only then will they see the other side of the coin, of these young students...who must pay over 200$ to see the results or over 600$ to retake the test....for naught.

please take in consideration this petition since it affects all english students and our futur patients.

everyone should be entitled to equality. We serve every patient equally and should be entitled to pass our examination in the language we choose to study in.

I wrote the exam and failed in 2008. I am convinced it was due to improper translation! The sentence structure of some questions was very easilly mis-interpreted!

Good Luck with this petition! Since you are fighting something in Quebec I hope you are prepared for the OIIQ to do nothing but I do support you students!

I can't believe how poorly translated the exam was.

every student needs a fair shot at success. Shame on OIIQ for giving anglophones less of a chance with ambiguously translated questions. Be fair to all.

i strongly believe there is an unfair and serious issue with the materials from french to english test and study materials. copy , translate and paste are not valid forms of learning material. i had to leave my trade beacuse the text made absoloutly ZERO sense

this is absolutely appalling. Quebec is in desperate need of more nurses and the incompetency of the persons who translate the OIIQ licensing exam should not continue
