I a spending time to comment regarding this topic since I experienced it myself. This professional order is not professional at all. at all! See they said they need nurses then why would they would be too strict about their language, language can be learned eventually. Time will come one of their family members will get hospitalized or even them they will get admitted in ICU hopefully, and they are having SVT whatsoever and there are no available nurses to check them so they die...that would be the time they realized. i hope one of them could read this...

I went for a review as I belived in my heart that i had done quite well. During the review, I went over every question with one of the individuals who was to re-correct my exam, and indeed, their expectations of the answers had no concrete relevance to the vague, abstract and generalized questions posed. I had even gotten 2 answers correct as per their answers but they had "forgotten" to give me my points. This is not a professional order, it is an amateur institution filled with nationalist racist quebecers.

We need nurses, so please have the exam translated properly so we can get more nurses practicing, where they are needed!!

The licensing exam should be of the highest standard and that should include a similar quality of translation into English . Please correct this situation immediately Marie Yvonne Kiely

I still don't understand why the OIIQ exam is not STANDARDIZED. Not only was the English version of the test badly translated, but I also feel that the format of the test is somewhat biased. If the corrector does not like the way you express your answers on the exam, they may be inclined to not judge you as fairly as others who may have expressed their answers differently (in the corrector's opinion). Those partial credits can be the difference between a pass and a fail on the OIIQ test. I demand that my exam be re-read, without this ridiculous $200 fee. Also in the previous years, nursing students were given not only a written exam but a clinical one as well. I did not see how the clinical part of the exam was reflected in the two written tests. I feel like a lot of hard working students who put their blood sweat and tears into nursing school got cheated due to this exam. Canada is a bilingual country. This is so embarrassing….

Failing by 1-4 percent is very devastating. I hope this margin of failure and success is seen as a problem.

We should have the right to an exam written in the exact vocabulary taught during the program, just like the french have this right.
