The university has officially committed to revising the shuttle schedule and restoring the essential routes we identified. Reflecting on this outcome highlights how clear communication regarding our daily needs can prompt meaningful change. I hope this improvement brings a lasting sense of reliability and safety to our campus community.

By signing this petition, you are urging St. John’s University to improve their shuttle bus service to and from off-campus resident halls. This includes routes to the Henley, DePaul, Seton, the Staten Island Campus, and the Jamaica train station. This petition also calls on St. John's to bring back their shuttle to the Manhattan campus and to the Kew Gardens train station. The student body wants a schedule that coincides with class times and adheres to the schedule. With the new schedule this semester, the shuttles have not been leaving on time. Students wait patiently for shuttles that will never come, or that have left early. The shuttle tracker does not work on everyone’s device, and the schedule is complicated to read. St. John’s residents and commuters are not able to rely on the shuttle bus service to get them to class and back home.

Because of high crime possibilities around the St. John's University campus, Public Safety officers advise students to:

> When possible, travel with a friend and make every effort to travel in populated, well-lit areas. Use the buddy system—do not walk alone—especially at night.

> Familiarize yourself with campus transportation, the campus escort service, and shuttle bus schedules

(found on:http://www.stjohns.edu/student-life/public-safety/safety-tips)

Without a reliable bus service and schedule, many students resort to walking home alone at night. This puts them at risk for multiple crimes. Below is a link to two Public Safety Advisories about crimes this month.

Let's hold St. John's accountable for the convenient shuttle bus service that they advertise, but do not provide.

bus drivers need to stop talking on the phone so us students can get him and to school at the times the schedule says so. If the schedule says the bus is leaving at 240 I expect it to leave at 240 not at 3 because the bus driver was talking on the phone in the back of the bus. I have work to go to and other places at a certain time.

Waited 30 minutes in the rain today for a shuttle bus, while the driver sat inside refusing to let anyone on board. We then almost got into 3 seperate accidents, one in which the driver stopped to curse someone out. Unprofessional.

The commute from Queens to Manhattan and vice-versa has been a struggle during the past month of this semester. Inconsistent transport schedules, and crowded buses and subway carts should be enough reason for St. John's University to bring back the Manhattan shuttle service for its students.

the bew bus schedule is even worse and what does the school have to say? that the shuttle is only a "service" and that we dont have to take it. so where does 10000$ go then...?

I reside at henley and I miss the bus or have to walk to campus a majority of the time when these buses are supposed to come at the time advertised. We all pay for these busses to be functional and I think that they should be

There should be more shuttles to and from the SI campus and Queens campus to stop students from having to spend whole days in Queens for one class and enable Queens students to take classes in SI.
