The Dept of Education could really do with a more funding, the gov is horrendously underfunded and too often subject to the whims of the states who are controlled by the people who aren't being educated. What we need is a strong central power to take in the reins and develop the one final solution to education, the final curriculum.

Ah, this is very important. I have a cousin in Louisiana and he needs to learn how to read. He lives too far out in the Bayou and his parents refuse to educate him. I want the government to take him so he can have a good education.

This petition is fairly vague and doesn't really have any reason to convince me why this is a problem or how paying teachers more would improve the education they produce. Also, saying "easily remedied" sounds pretty thoughtless and naive when you don't show any support for how this would help. 10/10 petition
