Skiing is an integral part of the Minneapolis community. The fact that we can boast of great trails like Wirth Park gives insight into the fantastic relationship our city has with winter. Continuing to expand our trails pays homage to the great park system we have. There's a reason Minneapolis is on the map for many people as a destination to visit.

Long overdue! Perfect place to teach kids how to ski. Would be great if they could warm up between laps at the clubhouse.

I've skied at Hiawatha many times, but the lack of groomed trails means a much less satisfying workout. Help local residents stay fit in the winter -- bring in a groomer and improve the course.

I agree about Hiawatha and being I'm required to have a ski pass there it would be nice if the park spent a little more time maintaining it.

This is a good ski area close to my house. I would like to see better grooming. Last year I went later in the season and conditions were quite good. I would like to have these same conditions in upcoming years.

Love skijoring and night skiing on the trail, but I have stopped going over the past couple years due to poor upkeep and tree maintenance ruining the track. Would love to use the trail more!

I ski several times a week at Hiawatha Golf Course. While I also use and appreciate the trails and facilities at Wirth, Hiawatha is much closer and more convenient. I would love to see when a small fraction of the resources dedicated to Wirth applied to this potential gem for winter recreation in south Minneapolis.

Loved it when the course was prepared for skiing, rented skis and was open on week ends for gathering inside.
