Would love to ski here more often, but the irregular gooming (and no communiction of when it has been groomed) mean that I seldom ski there anymore. N. and NE Mpls have 3 ski areas while S/SW have only this 1. Retire one of the NE areas and use those resources at Hiawatha. I don't care about the lodge, just the grooming.

Skiing at Hiawatha is a great neighborhood asset in the winter. Not too many years ago the Chalet was often open for sledders and skiers to warm up and mingle.
The cross-country skiing fees that Minneapolis charges are out of line with other area parks, especially considering the poor maintenance at facilities like Hiawatha.

I LOVE Hiawatha but often have to drive over to Wirth once I see that Hiawatha isn't in good enough shape to ski. Thanks for all the work that you already do and we would love to see more!

My son is on the nordic ski team for Washburn high school. They practice at Theodore Wirth during the week, this would be an awesome resource for us on the weekends!!

The Hiawatha clubhouse used to be open in the winter and one could even rent skis there. Now that we have to pay to ski in Mpls, I don't see why some of these fees couldn't be applied to the local trails.

I am not good at it, but should not take it away from the ski lovers who do. Those people have been blessed and should have the same treatment as others. We need to live in peace and harmony.

It would be wonderful to have Nordic trails all around the Twin Cities. Nokomis Golf Course is a natural and should be enhanced to draw more skiers.
