The Governor has declined to intervene in this sentencing and the legal process will proceed as intended. This outcome affirms that public safety must remain the priority regardless of an individual's background or celebrity status. Thank you for maintaining your focus on this matter until the conclusion.

The Honorable Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger
Paris Whitney Hilton is an American celebrity and socialite. She is an heiress to a share of the Hilton Hotel fortune, as well as to the real estate fortune of her father Richard Hilton. In her life so far she has achieved nothing of any obvious worth but has become a symbol vacuousness and idiocy.
As most of the world now knows, Ms. Hilton was just charged in a Los Angeles court with DUI and sentenced to 45 days in Century Regional Detention Facility in California beginning on or before June 5, 2007.
We, the people of the world who do not worship at the altar of meaninglessness and triviality are delighted that Paris has been given this sentence. Drink driving can and does kill people. The fact that Paris Hilton didn't hit someone is irrelevant, she might of. Her being arrested and charged for these offences highlights her indifference to the well-being of others.
This petition is to ask Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger not to be swayed by any type of media campaign or pressure that might try to convince him to pardon her.

DUI is serious business. Keep her in there for the full 45 days. No special treatment just because shes famous.

She thinks she is above the law because of her last name. Put her in a cell just like anyone else.

Ridiculous how much attention she gets. Lock her up and quit reporting on it.
