I strongly agree that children grades 4-6 should not be consolidated into the junior high and also believe if you want to save money then consolidate the elementary schools but at a slower rate. one our two schools each school year until we are seeing if this actually works.

As a grandmother, teacher, and Butler High alumnae I agree with the Butler Residents for Quality Schools porposal. The time transporting students from a rural area to the city of Butler is a hardship on both the younger student and working parent. I agree with the Butler Residents for Quality Schools proposal and support their effort.

Butler is a large school district in terms of geography. Whatever small gains in cost structure are offset by a decrease in quality, long bus rides for small children and a number of empty buildings blighting small communities.

I agree with the proposal. Grades K-6 should remain in the traditional configuration. I have concerns with the additional mileage students will be travelling on the busses & the traffic which they will be exposed to for safety reasons. I also have concerns with the safety of the students in the schools when compared to the tragic events which have been happening all over our country. By combining the students in to larger groups, there is more risk of an injury due to an attack on our children.

There's got to be a better way than adding stress and complicating the lives of these young children and their families!

think the school board should figure out other ways to save money instead of making everything complicated for everyone in the butler area school district
Praying that God intervenes and His will is done here.

I don't think it is very fair. My children go to summit which is a great school. I have no transportation of my own an if something would happen like my kids get sick at school it would be hard for me to get to butler. I live very close to there School now so it isn't so hard. I did not want my kids going to school in town. Once they hit junoir high I have no choice but there older then and to me its not as bad. I say leave it at it is.

leave our schools alone! This is not going to do anything for the kids and they are who we need to think about.
