Under KRS9A.100 misdemeanor
From Atty Chris Wiest over being arrested over not wearing a mask in public:
They can, in fact, arrest people over this. The governors executive orders, until or unless we have a court striking them down, can be punished as a class a misdemeanor. That is up to a year in jail. Police can arrest you for it.
This is why I have been railing against this stuff. Because it’s serious. And scary.
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE AND WE ARE FIGHTING BACK AGAINST THESE EXECUTIVE ORDERS!! THE LEGAL REALITY IS SCARY BUT WE ARE PUSHING HARD TO HOLD LEADERSHIP ACCOUNTABLE FOR THESE ACTIONS!!
October 7, 2020
THE MOMENTUM IS ABSOLUTELY EXPLODING RIGHT NOW AND IT PROVES THAT WE ARE FED UP WITH THESE OVERREACHING EXECUTIVE ORDERS!! THIS ENERGY IS FUELING THE FIGHT TO HOLD LEADERSHIP ACCOUNTABLE FOR EVERY THREAT TO OUR FREEDOM!!

The Governor's orders are arbitrary and capricious and lack any scientific basis for effectiveness. Masks have been demonstrated to be completely ineffective at preventing spread of COVID-19.

Governor Beshear has not only violated our constitutional rights, he has broken several laws under the KY Constitution. He has refused to work with the Legislature and has become a one man dictatorship

The governor of this great Commonwealth of Kentucky has egregiously overstepped his authority. As a result, untold harm has been done to the people who placed their trust in him when they elected him to office. They have lost their freedoms to move about the country, to enjoy their daily pursuit of happiness, to seek to support their families in making a living and to provide them emotional support by being with them in troubled times. Our governor has failed miserably to meet the needs of the state’s financial burdens, has sacrificed its people for political purposes. Mr Beshear needs to remove himself from office or be forcefully removed by the people he is supposed to be serving.

Please add my name to this petition to stop Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear from allowing people to be arrested for no mask. How cruel this is to people with severe disabilities, especially my friend who suffers greatly from serving in Afghanistan, being wounded and suffers PTSD. This is ludicrous!
