Impact of Independence HS sharing with 3 Charter Schools

As an alumni of IHS it saddens me to hear what is taking place on campus. IHS by itself has always had a large student body population, so having three additional schools sharing this campus is absolutely ridiculous. Charter schools have and serve their purposes but overcrowding, disrupting, and taking over their host school is down right disrespectful. When it comes to the use of the campus and its facilities priority should always be giving first to the host campus in this case to IHS. This many schools trying to share one campus is proving to be a disastrous at best.

I'm a student at Andrew Hill High School and I am supporting my friends at Independence. It isn't fair for any of the schools there to deal with all of this. Please take their suggestions into consideration for the sake of everyone's well being.

The charter school students need to know boundaries. School is school and should be a safe place.

It is necessary for IHS to grow , therefore I think it should be best to actually let these schools know of this petition and well possibly tell them to relocate their school in order for our students to receive the best education and feel safe in their school environemnt.

Really don't want our stuff getting taken away by people who aren't even IHS students. This is Independence High School not "Charter School"

Charter schools are an important component to our educational system and both them and IHS should be able to feel safe and comfortable enough to grow and learn and the possible solutions seem to benefit both. Good luck.

A school campus needs to create a safe environment that is conducive to a positive learning experience. Not overwhelm students with an oversized population and a lack of community.

IHS should Not add more charters to our campus, because the students from the charter schools are "destroying" our learning environment.

As a formal graduate of IHS in 2011, this is unacceptable with the amount that IHS has to share their property more from parking to PE areas. Violence should not be increased when educational quality should be.

When I went here, there were already enough problems with violence and overcrowding. This is just ridiculous.

Honestly, IHS already has enough to worry about with its own students. The fact that the staff has to take on additional responsibility with students from the charter schools is really unfair. If there is money to open these charter schools in the first place, shouldn't there also be enough for them to provide THEIR OWN students with the same facilities and/or extracurriculars as IHS? Without having to share the entire campus? Like, seriously, what happened?

Charter schools should have their own campus; it is inappropriate to mix with Independence High School! The school facilities and traffic are already overcrowded. Adding more schools to IHS campus is not a responsible and caring decision to IHS students and faculties as well as to charter schools.

It's about time.
There is just too many people at school lingering around.
The fact they are rude/obnoxious doesn't make up for it either.

the charters are really becoming a problem and they have no respect for us.
