I coached water polo with Mr. Burgess from 2013-2014 and I firmly believe he deserves to be reinstated immediately and get back in the classroom.

I have played for and coached women’s water polo in the area, meaning I have been around Randy as a young athlete and young adult countless times. I am compelled to sign this even more so now as an educator working in North County. Randy must be reinstated immediately.

We believe the charges against Randy are baseless. He has always shown himself to be an ethical teacher and coach and his behavior has been above reproach. Our daughter and son-in-law teach at Coronado High School and we have never heard anything but the highest praise for Randy. Please consider reinstating him as soon as possible.

I’ve know Randy through the tightknif water polo cummunity and every single person spoken to has nothing but the best to say about Randy. He’s a mentor, a leader, a teacher and a coach that’s done tremendous good for the community , students and athletes

I am 100% behind all statements within this petition. Randy Burgess is far too good of a human being to be put through this mess. Please fix this as soon as possible. The CUSD community should be embarrassed to be treating this leader so poorly.

Randy coach both of my daughters in water polo and swim competition. Both girls said there is no way that he would have ever done anything like that.

As a former CUSD Board member, I am deeply concerned about the lack of due process in Randy's case. With no one coming forward and no legal case filed since April 2017, I urge the Board to reinstate Randy immediately. The Board has the obligation to support educators when unjustly accused in the same manner that students are supported during the education process.
