Birthing families deserve access to all of their maternity care options. Certified Professional Midwives are vital to safety, good outcomes, and wellbeing.

This health crisis highlights our need for out of hospital birth workers. They deserve equal pay and recognition as providers serving families in hospital and can provide safe car with healthy outcomes, especially when working within guidelines/licensure.

I am due in June and can’t afford a midwife but I really wanted to have a home birth. Sucks really so I pray this petition gets signed fast and my insurance can cover it but wishful thinking. I’ll pray it helps other mothers down the line ❤️

It is clear midwives are needed. Let us be a part of the solution for long term sustainable and appropriate healthcare.

CPMs are trained professionals that deserve and need to help expecting mothers deliver safely.

Midwifery should be licensed and covered by insurance during this epidemic and even log before. Home birth is safe

Home birth midwives are VITAL for all of us pregnant people, I urge the state to take action and approve licensure ASAP as a simple and logical measure to avoid more exposure to this pandemic

It has long been time to set aside the socioeconomic eliticism, ego, racism, and patriarchy that keeps CPMs from practicing. Women have earned the right to choose who catches their babies.

Certified Professional Midwives should be recognized as the essential healthcare providers they are. Hospitals are not a requirement to birth a baby. Normalize home births!

Let’s see some action! The people of Pennsylvania need it.
