Families have the right to birth with trained midwives! If they have a low risk pregnancy, they should be able to choose their birthing location and it be covered by all insurance.

Access to CPMs are necessary under normal circumstances, but during this time, we ask that insurance companies act fast. This will allow low risk clients to birth in out of hospital settings, relieving hospitals of having to provide unnecessary care, which will allow them to focus on patients who need hospitalization and other urgent needs. This also ensures that midwives are paid for this valuable service for the benefit of the the community and entire nation during these trying times.

This is a necessity. It is essential. It is not a luxury or a or to privilege to give birth at home. It is a health and safety necessity. Especially now.
