With the ever real presence of threat of exposure to COVID-19 while in a pregnant state and the threat of having their newborns infected, Mothers and their partners/spouses are terrified to birth in a hospital setting. With that in mind certified professional midwives serve mothers who are low risk With the specific skill and knowledge through years of academics In essential subjects such as obstetrical pharmacology, obstetrical complications, NRP, And the list goes on. The need of CPM‘s is needed now more than ever so that we can help mother‘s birth their babies at home and a safe environment. By allowing a CPM’s licensure in the state of Pennsylvania this would take the burden off of the hospitals who are burdened with treating those that are I’ll that belong there.

This crisis has shown the deep systemic flaws in healthcare in this country and pregnant people and theur children should be safe without the added burden of medical debt.

So many people can benefit from the licensing of Midwives!! Especially now, please make this part of emergency relief! So many birthing folks could be better served by home birth in these unprecedented times.

You can't tell women how to give birth!!!!!!!!! Who are you???????? Would you like it if someone told you or your mother or daughters how to give birth with only what's available????? I stand up for all women no matter what color you are!!!!! WE bring life into this world and no one should be able to tell us how to do so This shouldn't even be a discussion or argument!!!
