Give the guy a break. He was in fatigues in full kit. Hardly terrorist material. A bit silly to be carrying a dummy stehr, but I think his intentions were innocent enough.

I've done the same, just did it in the bush, still a public area though.
The one on charges should be the citizen that called in the initial report without taking time to actually use their bloody eyes!

QLD COURTS please see commonsense with this matter. This is a young soldier who has signed up to do what mostbof us can't and won't. He has signed up to PROTECT OUR COUNTRY. PROTECT OUR WAY OF LIFE and allow us to continue to live as we do. A young man who is prepared to give his country his life. There is no way to thank him enough for bring prepared to do this.
This is a young man who was training. Training to better himself. There was no malice. There was no intent. No malice or intent to be a public nuisance or cause a scene. Surely the embarrasment from his error that day is all that is required. This will effect his employment. His lively hood. Our soliders have enough dramas without our courts adding to their stress. Please respect his position. His dedication and his loyalty to his country.
