Police reaction before truth was learned, acceptable. Police actions after making contact with the member, Over reaction, even disgraceful.
Media action, pathetic, trying to make more of a situation they clearly hoped would be a lot bigger than it turned out to be.
Defence not backing this guy up, utterly lacking in integrity. I could go on with a lot more.

As a defence member I know that we all must do some training in our own time. Some people choose to do a little more intense training then others.

Like everyone else has said there is something wrong when the community is terrified of a soldier training in his uniform carrying a pack and a metal bar Bent to resemble a gun
