Ridiculous state of affairs when a local digger gets charged for this. Surely we can all get on with it and leave him be.

The media have sensationalised this incident to the public, they have reported it incorrectly and are inciting fear that causes an over reaction. Now the judicial system is failing one of our Diggers because of it. There are real criminals, with real guns that need the full weight of the law put on them, not this man!

This man was training to protect his country. He should not be penalised because of the over reaction of some citizens used to living in a safe country thanks to people like this young man.

Good luck brother, in what is a media sponsored circus for the self-righteous PC brigade. I have done the same thing in the past but it appears I dodged those who have nothing better to do than try to bring someone do when they are giving their all.

What a joke. All he is guilty of is training to defend the idiots that complained in the first place.

I understand the worry the people had, but charging a soldier for public nuisance is ridiculous. The man was training, for our country. Show him some gratitude.

This is an awful way to be treating a serviceman from the publics perspective, and to police and DPP for not having the commonsense to not proceed with the case.
