Those that choose to serve in Australia's Armed Forces must be free to prepare themselves, both physically and mentally, for the full range of activity demanded of them. Police, the courts and the public should assist in any way they can. I can not see this court action as helpful, more as a ridiculous over reaction. Please dismiss the charges before the 9 February hearing.

No Australian servicemen should be treated like this. The charges need to be dropped and he should be issued an apology. Defence needs to support its people, not abandon them.

Why is Law enforcement so willing to persecute the easy targets? Answer: it requires less effort than doing any real Policing work. Have they removed all your common sense? Surely this could have been resolved with a few questions, a check of his ID and a trip to his Commanding Officer? What a bunch of fools you have made yourselves look on this one. No wonder the bad guys are winning!

Perhaps it is more prudent to educate our civil authorities about what a credible threat actually is rather than what they can sensationalise out of bordom. Parents, watch out for your children playing cowboys and indians in your front yards! Thier arrest would be as rediculous as this one...
