Ridiculous action by the police, and by those idiots who reported a "man with a gun"!

It's a sad day when soldiers, past or present have to band together over the mistreatment of other soldiers by other Australians!! I'll train with you!

Charging a man for training to serve his country is absurd. He should have been spoken to about 'carrying a piece of steel tube with the intent to cause fear' and given a pat on the back for his hard work.

I can't believe this situation has got this far.

#I'll train with you. A good response to a perceived threat, however when it was identified that there was no threat, the matter should have ended there and everybody should have gone home. Now we have a situation where we charge serving soldiers training to protect their nation and we let terrorists off the hook.

Its a sad sad world, we live in. The words of the media have landed this soldier in court, for staying fit. How can the QLD police honestly charge this man?? What a bloody joke!

This man was training to fight for his country and this is the way his treated not like a hero for making a huge sacrifice, before you judge him you should be in his shoes on the day this happened what would you do, ever soldier learns how to defend their country but their not arrested and treated like he was why should he be any different he was learnin to fight for his country I don't see you doing the same release the man

An Aussie soldier standing up for our nation should not be treated in such an appalling manner. Drop the charges. So out of touch with reality. No need for charges.
