what the hell? the cops cant tell a real gun from a training one? When it was proved the gun was a fake, the charges should have been dropped and never gone to court. Since when do we disrespect our men and women in uniform this way?

What a joke society is when a soldier training is considered a criminal, but actual criminals can walk all over the law.

The Left Politically Correct have reacted in an extreme manner - this man is being punished for doing his job, preparing to protect our nation. Being a solider is NOT a 9- 5 job and requires skillsets that cant be found at a Uni.I am pretty sure that if he claimed was on his way to prayer and that he had a clock on his arm it would have been fine!

Should not have been arrested and certainly not charged. Discretion should have been exercised by the police and now it's at court should be struck out.

This type of pt has been occuring for years? If he is charged will there be a nation wide ban on soldiers running down the road?

He joined the defence to serve his country and trained to better himself to protect Austrslians - the legal system calls him a nuisance and the ADF didnt defend him: shameful...
