To all the scared civilians, weak gutted cops and sneering judiciary - I don't care if a Soldier out training makes you fearful. The alternatives are far worse. Grow a spine.

What an absolute and utter joke the magistrate and judicial system as a whole we have here in Australia. Both the QLD police, Magistrate and anyone who is supporting the charges on this digger need to get a life - this man chose to give his for his country. Absolute Joke - how the public hasn't marched into the courtroom and dragged this young bloke out of the court to thank him for his service and show the courts and police how offensive and beyond a joke these charges are is beyond me.

A judge has a serial wife beater released after re-offending so he can become a "leader within the Aboriginal Community" through rehab in an organisation not meant for rehab. Another judge now admonishes police for not jacking up the charges against a soldier conducting training to better defend the Nation and rights that allow that judge to be such a narrow minded fool. Our judicial system is a farce.

Being in the military seems to be a threat to certain parts of our society, what a joke. Political correctness to please the minority will destroy this great nation. No crime committed here, just a waste of time and money by our judicial system.

Disgusting how this man is being treated. The Police must be stupid to have even arrested him in the first place, morons. As for the Magistrate..well God help the Judicial system. Wake up and dismiss this ridiculous charade.

This is perhaps the most stupid and wasteful use of the police and judicial resources I've even had the displeasure to see. Worse is the inflammatory and shortsighted commentary by the judge in this matter. I'm disgusted by the appalling treatment of a soldier, who was guilty of nothing more than trying to be his best.

I am disgusted at the lack of leadership being displayed here by the CDF and CA. I am also disgusted at the lack of intelligence being displayed by the Queensland Police Service. #illtrainwithyou

In 1973 - 1975 I was a CUO of ARMY Cadets at High School, I was also the Captain of my Rifle Team and there I would travel on Friday home with my 303 Military Rifle on the local Train and local Bus. That was tolerated as society were still aware of our soldiers from WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam and supportive of their service ans sacrafice. Today as a Captain in the Army Reserve. I will self-train with full kit prior to any formal exercise for several weeks. That consists of exended hikes over distance and running several kilometres in full-kit...Yes Army Uniform, Backpack and Webbing. How the hell is one to achieve the level of basic fitness otherwise. This is not a jog in your flash light weight running gear team, its training in part or full-kit for the hard-slog I that I and my men will endure in weeks of hard bush training. I guess my neighbours are used to me (and supportive of me) in doing so. I find it intolerable that is this Soldier was persecuted for what should be seen as his sacrifice to be part of the mechanism to defend our nation. To the unawares soft-headed, tree hugging, cotton-wool individuals who are fully unawares of what it takes to live in are fully-free society – Shame on You! Meanwhile: Mate I'll train with you anyday.

When I was an officer in the Australian Army, we used to brag about our soldiers improving their physical condition while on Christmas leave, we didn't apologise for it.

You already know that he is just training to serve the nation at a higher echelon let alone knowing that he served for our country. Arresting him is like trying to eat your own hand getting nothing out of it. There is no need to cuff him he is one of us and served on our side
