As some of you may know the IHS have given out details stating that a certain royal python morph known as the spider morph will be banned from any future shows. Please lets get enough signatures and pass this onto the IHS owners themselves and hopefully they will cancel the ban on this morph and reverse there decision. Will you sign this petition.

Banning 1 gene of snake because of a minor genetic/neurological defect is ridiculous when so many other genes carry the same defect and are not being targeted. Many others carry a different type of common defect and are not being targeted and banned. The discrimination is pointless and hurts small business owners who are working with this gene.
My Pewter bee if happy, healthy a great feeder & beautiful. In captivity I see no reason why spider morphs don't thrive. She has the slightest wobble at feeding time, she never seems in distress or in pain. What next, ban Autistic children from school because some people don't like to see them not conforming to what is considered normal.
I have a few snakes with the spider gene currently and a clutch from a Lesserbee due to pip within 20 days. Ive not had any genetic issues with my snakes, all are great eaters and growing wonderfully!
are you kidding? why do you need to breed a morph that you know is genetically faulty???? head wobble is a genetic neurological issue that is a very common characteristic of the spider morph. it is a good thing they are banned
Although I agree the spider morph has neurological issues not all of them suffer a great deal. There Are many over bred and problem animals - you start with the spider gene where will it end? Even to the albino morphs and the dessert ghost morphs etc. Yes there needs to be control however to bare all spider morphs I think is a tad extreme.

I for one will still continue to breed spider combo morphs and I strongly feel the IHS are wrong for the decision they have made. If any snake is not in good condition it should not be sold and if they want to ban the spider morph they should also ban other morphs with known possible issues.
