IHO extension

I have lived in both University Heights and Hillcrest since 1990 and treasure the neighborhood character of both. Where I live now just off First Ave. and Walnut, I experience the negative visual impacts of the high rise on First, which blocks the sun and view for neighbors for blocks in all directions. Please no more buildings over preferably 50 ft. tall. Neighborhood character is protected by CEQA. Thanks very much, Terry Weiner

Third generation San Diegan who feels strongly that height limits are needed to maintain the character of the Uptown district.

Keep San Diego neighborhoods neighborly.

Keep the lower building ordnance in place.

I support this ordinance, it will be great if they would aloud higher building permits..

The IH must be extended until the new Uptown plan is in place. To allow it to lapse may allow buildings to come into the community which would not be consistent with the new plan or the communities wishes..

This is a must in order to prevent permanent damage to our neighborhood pending the finalization of the complete plan.

Hillcrest is so difficult to navigate at present ,and I find it troubling to imagine what it would be both visually and with even more congestion.

I am in favor of extended the IHO because until the Uptown Plan is rewritten and the height limits are studied for our community, this IHO safeguards us from projects like MI Arbelito that is just out of scale with our community.

This is important to me

Take a look at Green Manor on Ibis at Fort Stockton. That not attractive building sticks up way too high. How tall is it? We don't want a repeat of this.

it is critical that the IHO be extended! This is not just about Uptown. This is also about maintaining a distinctive character in one of our main tourist areas and pathways among tourist areas (Balboa Park to Old Town etc.).

Please protect our neighborhood and don't side with developers. Are area is too dense already.

The Interim Height Limitation, Ordinance No. 19733 was intended to last until the completion of the Uptown Community Plan update, which is now underway. The community plan will be completed in 2013. We will all have to live forever with the decisions of the City Council. Please be patient and continue the IHO until the Uptown Community Plan is completed. Thank you

Extend the height limits!!

I feel it is important to keep the current interim safeguards in place until a more permanent plan is completed.

A 5 story building is height enough.
