Yes Robert E. Lee is a historical figure, but why honor the general of the confederate army, an individual who fought for slavery? Rather, let us honor Popovich, who advocates for class, dignity, respect, sportsmanship, and most importantly has led the beloved Spurs to 5 glorious championships.

Coach Pop deserves lasting recognition. Not only does he inspire his athletes to be the very best they can be he also inspires loyalty and pride in one of the finest bunch of gentlemen to ever play a sport. He completely turned the Spurs organization around through outstanding leadership and a shrewd business acumen. Coach Pop deserves every recognition that we can possibly give him. Go Spurs Go!! Kudos Pop!
