If you're going to change the name of Lee High School, change it to Popovich High!

Thank you for choosing a worthy person of changing the name too. I am a graduate myself and wouldn't date change the tradition although this would be something everyone should look into considering it's THE Popovich.
Kudos to you and hopefully this passes through.

I went to I.S.A. A magnet school at Robert E. Lee campus. I have always hated the name and wanted it changed due to how racist he was and this is a perfect name. Not only has this Coach represented our San Antonio Spurs, but he also works in the community on a regular basis and around the world. If it's not enough that he has won 5 championships and been names head coach of the 2020 USA Basketball team, shouldn't he have this honor too? I say change it and respect not only a good coach in the professional sense but a good person as well. Thank you Coach for all that you do!

Poppovich is truly an inspiration and deserves this moreso for his recent achievements, rather than something acknowledged in a book we don't even remember (no offense) sure they did things, sure they made a difference, but I really only care about the race for seis.

Lee's leadership certainly has many positive attributes worth emulating, but Pop is more relevant to our time and our community.

As an 18 yr and going military member, Popovich is a perfect example of the true meaning of Honor, Courage, and Commitment, something he not only preaches and teaches, but also lives by. The whole world would be a better place if more people lived by these same principles. The Spurs are a perfect example of it and the community and the school would only benefit from it.
